Repairs for any type of septic system
Septic systems may be gravity fed or mechanically operated, aerobic or anaerobic. Our team can repair the simplest gravity fed system or those using a pump or motor to move waste through the system. Anaerobic and mechanically operated systems will have more moving parts that are vulnerable to wear and should be checked carefully on a regular basis to maintain your system’s efficiency. Taking care to avoid flushing larger solids, such as feminine products, can help prevent motor burnout.
In some cases, internal components need to be repaired or replaced, requiring draining the tank to access these important parts. Our septic system experts take the time needed to examine the baffles, motor, vent, and the walls of the tank to be sure your system is in good working order.
Leach Field repairs and replacements
A failing leach field is a normal event when it comes to septic systems. Over time, even the most carefully constructed leach field will wear out. Our experts can help you get the most from yours and head off problems that can lead to early failure. We recommend the following options to maximize the life of your leach field:
- Call our office right away if you suspect a leak in your system or see pooling or sunken spots in your leach field. Even a small leak will prevent a leach field from drying out and lead to a progressive failure of the system.
- Consider diverting greywater (wastewater from the kitchen sink and laundry) to other areas. Much of this water can be re-routed as irrigation for vegetation or to a landscaped water feature, reducing the amount deposited to the leach field and lengthening its life.
- A leach field protector is a screen specifically designed to fit in the septic tank to prevent solids from entering and clogging the leach field. Once installed, these screens are easy to access and repair or replace if clogging occurs.
- Leach field extensions or modifications are a great option when evolving usage of a property renders the septic system undersized. Our experts can inspect your septic system and available property to determine if an extension or modification can ease the workload and lengthen the life of your system.
